Heywear's mission is to revolutionize the way prescription glasses are bought today. A process that traditionally took multiple visits spanning weeks, we aimed to reduce this to a single 30-minute visit. My challenge was to reimagine a process that had been largely unchanged for 50 years. Utilizing my strategic acumen, I conceived a plan to streamline the process, focusing on speed without compromising on accuracy or customer experience.
Design & Execution
I designed a cohesive UI Design System to systemize the design work, which allowed for efficient development and ensured consistent user experience across all three apps. In-depth user research and competitive analysis informed the wireframes and user flows. I took what we learned from our competitors, adapted to the constraints imposed by Apple's ecosystem, and developed the simplest, most intuitive flow possible.
Results & Impact
Post-launch, the innovative system I designed had a significant impact on Heywear's operations and customer experience. We managed to reduce the average customer visit time by a staggering 80%, delivering eye exams and prescription eyewear within our ambitious 30-minute goal. Customer satisfaction soared, with the App Store ratings for our apps averaging 4.8/5. New user registration saw a boost of 35% in the first three months after launch, and repeat customer rates increased by 25%.
