Understanding the concerns and needs of potential boat users was crucial, especially their environmental concerns in an industry historically characterized by its significant carbon footprint. The goal was clear - to harmonize sustainability, functionality, and aesthetics within maritime design, and I was at the forefront of realizing this ambition.
Design & Development
From conceptualizing designs to building prototypes, every stage aimed to create a user-centric design, seamlessly integrating maritime functionality and advanced technology. The result was a captivating blend of classic maritime aesthetics and modern tech, yielding an intuitive user interface and exceptional user experience. This unique approach to boat design led us to garner prestigious recognitions such as the German Design Award 2020, iF Design Award Winner 2020, among others.
Execution & Results
The final product, an electric boat from X Shore, simplifies operation while enriching the user experience through eco-conscious design elements. Notably, within six months of launch, the product contributed to a 30% increase in overall sales for X Shore, while customer feedback pointed towards high user satisfaction, particularly praising the boat's user-friendly design and sustainable features.
